George specialises in offering innovative and dynamic drug and alcohol awareness and harm prevention training all of which is delivered from a lived experience perspective.

All of the training sessions offered by George provide the learner with a ‘unique and privileged’ insight into the life and experiences of an individual who spent many years in the grips of addiction whilst also being impacted on by significant mental health issues.

George provides a true and honest account of his life and his experiences , leaving no stone upturned in order that those who receive his training are able to recognise & understand the difficulties experienced by individuals and families who are touched by addiction. 

George offers his training to a wide rage individuals and organisations including Durham Constabulary , Northumbria Police, Primary and Secondary Schools, Drug and Alcohol services, family support services, armed forces personal and generic community groups.

George has worked as a civilian trainer for Durham Constabulary over the past ten years, delivering drug and alcohol awareness and harm prevention using lived experience to educate new police officers & PCSO’s about the issues facing individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.

George also supports Clennells Education Solutions working as an independent trainer delivering awareness sessions in schools across the North East Region 

Most recently George has designed and developed the Young Peoples Life Choices Program in partnership with Durham Action Against Crime.

This program promotes positive life choices and enables young people to play an ambassadorial role supporting their peers and teaching staff across the whole school community.

The Young Peoples Life Choices Program starts in January 2019
