Im Currently working across the UK to support the development of Peer to Peer Naloxone Training & Supply programs. All of my work is designed and developed in partnership with peers, people who use drugs and treatment providers and will over the coming year see many local authorities benefiting from the skills of people with lived experience of addiction. I am very proud to be working in partnership with Foundations in Middlesbrough and now Addaction UK to develop Peer to Peer Naloxone Training and supply programs. Watch this space for new work beginning across 2023 where i will continue to develop projects which put lived and living experience front and centre at the heart of everything
If like me you are hugely concerned about the rising numbers of drug related deaths in the UK each year, then you will most probably know just how important it is to ensure people have access to life saving Naloxone. Its a sad fact that over 17 people die each day in the UK of an avoidable DRD meaning if Naloxone had have been available at the time of overdose many of these tragic deaths may well have been avoided.

In this section you can learn more about my innovative Peer to Peer Naloxone Training & Supply programmes which i have developed & implemented for many national treatment providers including We Change Grow Live, We Are With You, Foundations, Cranstoun and many more national services.

Peer to Peer Naloxone Training & Supply projects are literally transformational for so many of the peers involved in coproducing them up with my support across the UK. The community mobilisation and technical support approach i have developed is not only saving the lives of people who use drugs but also provides a wonderful opportunity for the peers themselves to develop and co create their own peer to peer supply programs. Please read on to find out more about my work around Naloxone.

If you would like to explore how you can develop your own peer to peer Naloxone training & supply program then please feel free to get in touch on 07917793436 or email info@georgecharlton,com for more information.
BBC Sounds Podcast The Next Episode: Drug Death Town.

Here is a wonderful podcast produced by BBC’a Adam Clarkson showcasing the work of Naloxone Peers in Middlesbrough. It was a real pleasure to work with the peers from Foundations to develop my first ever peer to peer Naloxone program for Foundations in Middlesbrough.
